Help plant a new 800-tree forest at the site of the future Guelph Lake Nature Centre. In addition to family-friendly tree planting, this event features a traditional Aboriginal welcome and land acknowledgement, a visit from the BIOBus (a mobile research unit from the University of Guelph) and food trucks. Stay for an interpretive tour and an opportunity to learn more about the nature centre that will attract 20,000 students and thousands of visitors each year. Note that the new nature centre will be inside Guelph Lake Park. Admission to the park is free for this event 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with voluntary donations to the new Guelph Lake Nature Centre.
GRCA is seeking enthusiastic Canada 150 Event Ambassadors to help at this event. Visit our volunteer page for details.
