Join environmental educator Greg Meredith from Guelph Lake Nature Centre and volunteers to search for crayfish and other aquatic creatures in the Speed River. You’ll learn how to tell the difference between male and female crayfish and find out how the GRCA uses aquatic creatures to help evaluate water quality in our watershed. Nets and bug containers are provided. You will be in the water, so appropriate footwear is required: closed-toe water sandals or shoes, no barefeet. Suitable for all ages. Park in the lot off of Gordon Street by the covered bridge where the Eramosa River enters the Speed River. This event is part of the 2 Rivers Festival in Guelph www.2riversfestival.org.
