The canoe is an iconic Canadian symbol. It holds a special place in Canadian culture and identity, and it's a great way to get some exercise, too. Have you ever wanted to try canoeing, or do you want to improve your paddling? This program is for you. Join a paddling instructor for this two hour session to practice canoe safety, and learn the parts of the canoe, paddle strokes and basic manoeuvres. Paddles, canoe and other equipment are supplied. Register with a partner or by yourself; individuals will be paired up. Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes that can get wet. Children must be over the age of 10 and accompanied by an adult. Plan to arrive at 6:00 p.m. to pick up your up your paddle and life jacket at the gatehouse.
