Grand River Parks Members pay $25.00, non-members pay park admission plus $25.00.
The canoe is an iconic Canadian symbol. It has a special place in Canadian culture and identity. Canoeing is a great way to experience nature and get some exercise. Join a paddling instructor in this 2 hour session to learn and practice canoe safety, paddle strokes and basic manoeuvres. This program is for new paddlers or paddlers who would like to refresh their skills and get some help with their strokes. Register with a partner or by yourself. Individuals will be paired up. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes that can get wet. Children must be over the age of 10 and accompanied by an adult.
The cost is $25 per person per session. Paddlers without a GRCA Park Membership are required to pay park admission at the gatehouse. Pre-registration is required.
Program fee includes a 2 hour canoe rental, life jacket, paddle and basic instruction to get you feeling comfortable in a canoe.
Plan to arrive before 6:00 p.m. to pick up your up your paddle and life jacket at the gatehouse. Your instructor will meet you at the boat launch at 6:00 p.m..
Refunds will only be provided if the event is cancelled due to weather.
