This event is free for Grand River Parks Members and those who have paid the park admission fee. Preregistration is not required.
One of the unique features of this park is the pothole formations created by melting glaciers from the last ice age. Join us today for a stroll along the lake while we explore some potholes (small & large) and find out what critters and plants occupy these “cool” ecological niches. Find out how they were formed and take the opportunity to explore inside some of the larger ones for those that like to climb! We’ll bring along nets for catching crayfish and frogs. Please wear a good pair of hiking boots. Children under the age of 12 years must be accompanied by an adult. Meet by the Rockwood Nature Centre. This program will be 1.5 hours.
