Our highly skilled team will share their passion and knowledge of nature and outdoor adventure with your child. Our goal is to connect your child to a lifetime of appreciation for nature and the outdoors.
During our PD Day Nature Adventure Camp, your child will experience fun hands on seasonal activities and games that aim to inspire and educate. Campers will spend the day outdoors, exploring the fields and forests around the nature centre. There will be a campfire lunch on each of the days.
Our staff to camper ratio is 1:8. All staff have first aid training. Grand River Conservation Authority is an Accredited Member of the Ontario Camps Association.
Camp is from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Supervision is provided from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m free of charge.

FAQS
What should my child bring to the camps?
Our programming takes place outside as much as possible. We don't let the weather keep us indoors. To make sure that your child has the best possible experience at camp, please be sure to send them with the following items:
- Extra snacks and a refillable water bottle – we work up a good appetite every day! Litter free is best.
- Closed-toe footwear
- Raincoat, splash pants and boots,
- Coat, warm hat and mittens (for cold days)
- Sun hat and sun screen
- Rain gear, just in case!
- A full change of clothes and shoes.
Please check the weather each day and make sure that your child is prepared for the outdoors. Please label all belongings.
Where do I register, and who can I contact with questions?
After registering (register here) you will be sent a camp information package. This will hopefully answer all your questions but if you have any specific questions feel free to email guelphlakenc@grandriver.ca.
What is the refund policy?
Full refunds will be granted if requested 7 days before the program. Refunds requested after that time will be subject to a $25 administration fee.
