One of the unique features of this park is the pothole formations created by melting glaciers from the last ice age. Join us today for a stroll along the lake while we explore some potholes (small & large) and find out what critters and plants occupy these “cool” ecological niches. Find out how they were formed and take the opportunity to explore inside some of the larger ones for those that like to climb! We’ll bring along nets for catching crayfish and frogs. Good hiking shoes are must. Children under 12 years must be accompanied by an adult. Meet by the Rockwood Nature Centre.
