Summer camp at Belwood Lake all about getting outdoors and experiencing nature. We believe that the best camp memories come from exploring nature, making discoveries, building a campfire, hiking through the fields and forests, finding frogs and water creatures and connecting with the natural world.
Campers spend their days outside exploring nature. Each week will be filled with activities like shelter building, bug hunts, water studies, and nature games.
Our highly skilled team will share their passion and knowledge of nature and outdoor adventure with your child. Our goal is to connect your child to a lifetime of appreciation for nature and the outdoors.
Camps run from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Supervision is provided from 8:20 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Belwood Conservation Area gates open at 8:15 a.m.
Our staff to camper ratio is 1:8. All staff have first aid training. Grand River Conservation Authority is an Accredited Member of the Ontario Camps Association. Every camper receives a free nature themed t-shirt.

Camps
Nature Adventure Camp - ages 6 - 10 (birth date in the years 2008- 2013)
During this week at camp, outdoor “child-centered” play is our goal. There will be games, crafts and adventures outdoors. The natural features of Belwood like rocks, dirt, trees, bugs, flowers, mud, and water will be the focus of this week. Campers will be able to dig, collect, climb, build, splash and discover outdoor play. This camp is rich in Vitamin “N” for nature.
Fishing Adventure Camp - ages 8-12 (2007- 2011)
This camp is for campers who want to fish. Campers will practice basic fishing skills like casting, knot tying, and fish ID. They will spend half of each day fishing. Other fun nature activities like bug hunts, predator prey and shelter building will be included as well.
