Trees for Mapleton invites you to a free workshop to learn about windbreak economics, the role of stream buffers, tree planting/tree maintenance, the Rural Water Quality Program, plus a discussion on the effects of the Emerald Ash Borer. The event is taking place on Thursday, April 2 2020 at the PMD Arena in Drayton.
The speaker lineup includes Todd Leuty from OMAFRA to discuss windbreak economics and how planting windbreaks can provide benefits to crop, field and livestock production; Anne Loeffler from GRCA on the role of stream buffers; Peter Williams from Williams and Associates to explain strategies to dealing with the effects of the Emerald Ash Borer in your woodlots; and Meghan Clay from GRCA on tree planting and maintenance and funding programs.
